Frequently Asked Questions

1. How to choose the right expression system?
Depends on protein complexity, required modifications, and application. Bacterial systems are fast and low-cost but lack glycosylation. Mammalian systems provide native conformation and PTMs but are more expensive and time-consuming.

2. What is codon optimization?
Adjusting gene sequence to match host codon preference without changing the protein. Improves expression efficiency and yield.

3. How do you control purity and endotoxin?
Affinity purification followed by ion exchange or SEC. Endotoxin removed via specialized resins, validated by LAL method. Typical purity >90%, endotoxin <1.0 EU/μg.

4. What tags are available?
His, GST, Flag, MBP. Tag-free also available upon request.

5. Can you handle difficult proteins (membrane, toxic, etc.)?
Yes. Six proprietary platforms (VLPs, Nanodisc, Cell-free, etc.) specifically designed for challenging targets.
